Gibbons Engineering Group is delighted to announce that it has been invited to join the Anglian Water mechanical and electrical (M&E) framework for the awarding of planned and emergency work at local AW sites.

This means Gibbons is one of a select number of the most knowledgeable and experienced companies to be allocated M&E projects for Anglian Water. Via an online interface, Gibbons’ quoting and invoicing of jobs now becomes much more streamlined.

Gibbons is already an established provider of electrical and mechanical products and service for Anglian Water sites across Essex, Suffolk and beyond. The company’s range of electric motors, pumps and variable-speed drives are used to increase energy efficiency, productivity and reliability at fresh water and wastewater pumping stations.

Along with the capacity to provide both installations and repairs, a key requirement of the framework is the ability to respond to emergency calls on a 24/7/365 basis within four hours. Gibbons’ extensive stock of electric motors and pumps, position as an authorised value provider for ABB drives, motor rewind and repair workshop and round-the-clock call-out service ensured it met all criteria.

Having a select group of providers to call upon via this online system ensures that projects are allocated and completed promptly, meaning Anglian Water can maintain uninterrupted services for its six million customers.

Gibbons Director Matthew Gibbons said: “We feel privileged to be accepted on to the Anglian Water M&E framework which will allow us to respond to both planned and emergency jobs even more efficiently. We’ve already begun rolling out training to our staff to ensure a smooth transition to the new online system.”
