Air Handling Unit Installation on the 20th Floor2019-09-19T11:51:28+01:00

Project Description

The Problem:

Our client needed two large Air Handling Units, including thermal wheels, to be constructed within the dizzy heights of a 20th floor roof plant area.

The 5.3-metre wheels were some of the largest ever constructed by the Gibbons team and the complex restrictions on site made this a challenging project.

Our Solution:

The project took place in a restricted and congested covered roof area, with large, heavy components to be moved. The wheels were therefore delivered in complete kit form and assembled within the roof plant area.

Once complete, the wheels were shifted into the air handling unit section then pulled together, joined and sealed.

“Once again, Gibbons overcame a series of logistical challenges in order to deliver a professional project on time and to our client’s full satisfaction” – Andrew Knight, HVAC Services Manager.
